Tangier Sound

Wolfgang has a notice on his site that there will be a holiday jam session on 12/13/07 at the wonderful Flintbeker Bahnhof.

If you are anywhere near Germany this week you owe it to yourself to take part in this. Wolfgang and the musicians in Kiel are fantastic people, and Flintbeker Bahnhof is one of the nicest places for a jam that I have ever come across anywhere in the world.

Any musicians out there looking to get a little airplay in Germany should contact Ulrich Byron. He hosts the bluegrass show “Byrons Barn” on UKW 101.2 Kiel FM.

Ulrich was kind enough to give me a CD with a broadcast of one of his shows and even though I don’t understand a word he is saying the show is a lot of fun. If you have a CD out be sure to pack one up and get it out Ulrich. The easiest way to contact him is to drop Wolfgang a note.

I really liked Ulrich. We picked together from three nights in a row in Germany and he is a good musician and great person. 

With folks like Wolfgang working to start up jams and Ulrich putting music out on the airwaves the lovely city of Kiel is shaping up to be a great place to make music!
