SaW the first version…great meta-workshop on teaching workshops :-)

This was a very timely workshop. I have been working on swapping songs G to C and back so seeing you jamming on both al fresco was fantastic.

I have been working on “She Moved Through the Fair” and found alternating C chord to D chord in G (?). Could you help me so I can see why and where this would work for other songs?

    Cheers

    Hi Patrick.

Great workshop. Just one thing. Your new banjo has so much volume that it makes your words a little difficult to make out on this recording.

    Cheers.

Great workshop Patrick. I watch your folk song blog every day and I just love the way you teach with enthusiasm and clarity. Keep up the good work!

OK, that was great! I have drifted away from tab and it helps to hear some snips of songs with just a touch of “how – to”. If you do some more of these kind of workshops, please consider playing other keys – E, C minor, F, etc. They all sound weird to my ear on a banjo. Maybe seing and hearing a flash of playing like this will knock me loose in those keys!
