Tangier Sound

Almost two years ago Marc in France sent in a question that I answered in one of the Questions & Answers files: Ceci n’est pas une banjo.

I always wondered how he made out with his guitar strung up like a banjo, so imagine my joy and surprise today when I found a package from Marc waiting for me in the mail. 

Marc wrote a really nice note letting me know that he picked up a five-string banjo and he is still making music.  He also sent along a bottle of champagne!

The champagne is now on a shelf in the office along with my pop bottles of raki & olive oil from Greece, the little smoking dude from Germany, the painting from Spain, the sketch from Tasmania and all of the other neat stuff folks have sent from all over the world.
