Great job James! I was very much impressed and also encouraged.

I too had made a slide of copper, but didn't like the way it dragged on the wound strings. My son bailed me out by giving me one of his glass slides, which works much better.

Regards,

Excellent. For some reason, I've not been very interested in playing blues or slide on the banjo, in spite of Patrick's excellent encouragement. But, after hearing and seeing you play this, I am now going to give it a go. Thanks for posting this Patrick.

Hi, James:

Great job! Keep at it. You could soon give up your day job.
I have a Logitech Communicate SDX web cam that I have been playing around with. I do have some kinks to work out of it before I go on line with it. Your camera does a swell job.
I Love your copper slide. It may not have the same resonance as glass but works rather well. And it's making do with what you have.

God Bless,
Pastor Roy

Hi, this vid was made using a logitech quickcam pro 5000 image set to email size 320 x 240 and a small web mic through creative soundblaster PCI card. It is important to have bright lighting or the images appear slow motion and out of synch. I have a desk reading light positioned beside me which seems adequate and shines off my head nicely.
thanks for kind comments

Great Video! So inspiring!

I was curious about what kind of camera and sound device you are using? I got this webcamera for christmas specifically for doing these kind of videos, but the video and the sound are too choppy :(. Maybe someone can share with me the secrets.
Thanks!
