Seoul Music

Yvon in Korea writes:

Dear Patrick and your dear old dad,

I’ve been watching your show for quite a while now. I’ve been playing guitar and mandolin for many years and just picked up the banjo last year.

I’m located in Seoul, South Korea and my friend “Banjo Roger” has been a great teacher and so have you.

The other day, I bought a second-hand banjo and it’s a beauty! I took the resonator off (I hate those things!) and got the action and intonation adjusted. I’m very greatful to God for it! You know, there is something very positive and uplifting about the banjo. I find your lessons very encouraging and want to say that I look forward to our times together on-line.

If you ever find your heart in Seoul, let’s meet up for a great time! Remember, nothing can replace the human touch!

Sincerely,

Yvon (aka. Harpo) “the Killbox”, Korea

This is really neat! We have the makings of a nice jam session in Korea!

Tim in Korea contacted me this morning with a question by instant message (look on the contact page for more on how to do that) and I gave him the link to your site. He should be dropping you a note soon.

So now we’ll have Tim, Roger and now Yvon making music together on just about the other side of the world from Crisfield. That is great news!
