Chris Via has confirmed that the Somerset S-2 prototype is on the way.
Chris is a family man, musician and banjo builder from Rich Creek, Virginia.
He has been working with us on the S-2 project and from what we have seen and heard this one is a keeper. A bio and pictures of Chris will be up soon.
The S-2 will sell for $895.00 complete with a heavy padded gig bag.
Quite a value for a handcrafted banjo made right here in the USA.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin during July.
In other news, Lowell Jacobs is nearing completion of the S-1 prototype.
The S-1 will sell for $1,495.00 with a hard shell case.
We are honored that Lowell has accepted the commission to build our flagship model. We will begin production during August.
Somerset banjos are designed by us and built by American craftsmen right here in the USA!
Call me at 410-968-3873 for details.
We will accept deposits if you wish to minimize waiting.
Have a safe and joyous long holiday weekend.
Be sure to count your blessings and don’t step in anything soft!
