Hey Patrick (and Dear Old Dad),
I saw these over at the MAKE site (http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/07/lunch_box_guitar.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890) and I thought that they’d be right up your guys’ alley, even if a whole bunch of people have already let you know about them (which very well may be the case).
The enigmatic “these” are a couple of guitars and a banjo made out of, respectively, a lunch box and cigar box and a cookie tin. They look positively gorgeous!

While I’m at it, I want to let you know that I love the workshops and I’m always looking forward to your next guitar one (I don’t have a banjo at present). If you get time, could you do one on how to get that vamping skiffle feel that the Subway Shuffle has in other chord forms like B7 or C or G?
Thanks a ton and keep updating your site with great resources on how to make folk music!
