Hi Patrick and D.O.D – Kind of a work in progress this one – A version of ’900 Miles’ that I picked up from Bert Janschs’ ‘It Don’t Bother Me’ album – I haven’t heard it in years so its’ just a recollection and probably way of the mark!! – This is also the first outing for my new open-back banjo!…still getting used to the feel of it but we’re getting closer everyday! – Hope all goes well with the new ear doc, sounds hopeful!…and that you enjoyed ‘Watchmen’ its’ a fantastic book!

Mike from Maquoketa sent in a few more alternative tab files.

Hi Patrick,

I had tabbed a couple of things and sent them to Ruud. I thought I would send them off to you as well. I have the “Foggy Mountain Fakedown” from the Daily Frail 6/28/07 and the melody version of “The White House Blues” from Outlaws and Scalawags.

Hi Patrick & Pat,
Took your advice, done some wild things on the banjo, got over the plateau, calmed the crazy stuff down (good fun), then got back to better than normal, I just set up a webcam on my PC and just picked the banjo up and had a go, a few mistakes but got over them, I know it speeds up and down, but I was aware and I’m just having fun, I like my end bit, but can’t remember how I done it, it just happened.

I have attached it, and realise its to large (9Mb), but hey, I’ve now adjusted the webcam for next time, hopefully this will get to you, note I look a mess not scrubbed up yet,  its Saturday morning.

Any comments on my technique, advice etc. are welcomed…

PS: ME AND MY BANJO BUDDY ARE GONNA TEACH PEOPLE IN THE SUMMER, as I have a spare resonator banjo in my wardrobe doing nothing for the past 12 months.

I thought I would do my first ever Harmonica video, again only because I was trying out the webcam and had put my guitar away, and only had my very rarely played, never learnt how to play harmonica, I was once given, anyway be great to hear your comments, just made up as I sucked and blowed, nothing planned, and could never play it again, I love the webcam now, but my singing sounds rubbish, not sure if in the real world it sounds like it does recorded on a webcam!
