Happy Birthday Patrick!
Every so often I find something on the Internet that makes my day. I use a very addictive Mozilla Firefox add-on called Stumbleupon. You give them your interests and they will recommend websites you might like that you can “stumble” through. This morning I stumbled upon a heartwarming music video of people from all over the globe singing the Ben E. King classic “Stand By Me” together. I thought you would get a kick out of it. Not only for the cool New Orleans blues guys, but the fact the cool New Orleans blues guys are being backed up by a tambourine in France, a saxophone in Italy, a Ukulele in Brazil, a cello in Russia, native drums in New Mexico, and bass in South Africa (just to name a few). It really shows how music has no borders and can bring people together that live so far apart… Much like the ukulele project!
have a wonderful day, and here’s to many more chocolate mayonnaise birthday cakes!

Wow, there are actually two other video’s on their youtube page just like this one. They’re all really good, a ton of production work must have went into this.

Tyler,
I was blown away from this video! It brought tears to my eyes.
I’ve spent the past hour or so looking through the Playing for Change website and listening to some of the other songs they have available. There will be a CD of the music coming out at the end of April and I pre-ordered my copy through Amazon a few minutes ago.
Thanks for sharing this!!
