On Saturday 6/20 Three Rivers Folk Club of Channahon, IL. will host a basic frailing workshop for the banjo, followed by an informal jam session . We’ll spend an hour on the fundamentals of clawhammer style banjo, and then see if we can put it use on a few familiar songs.

There should be no problem to add basic guitar techniques into the work shop as well.

Please drop me an e-mail (3riversfolk@comcast.net) to say you are coming just to let me know how to plan for this.

I am still waiting to hear from the local coffee shop in Minooka to see if their space is available. As of now, I’m assuming it is. If it’s not, then we’ll do it at my house in Channahon. I’ll send directions to my home to those who contact me.

All good natured, sharing folks are invited.
