We’ve been wikified

Hi Pat & Patrick,

A few posts back on the blog you mentioned that you’d been thinking about putting together an online archive of all of your material. I found that post to be very coincidental, because for a while now I’ve been thinking of cataloging all of your workshops for my own personal use.

I wondered if you had considered setting up a wiki in order to make the large task of getting all of the links together in one place. In any event, I’ve put together a start to such a project. I started on the last page of your dailyfrail.com blog, and have simply been working my way forward chronologically through your posts in order to catalog all of the Daily Frails and Weekly Workshops and Chrisfield Guitars and Harmonica Workshops. I’ve spent about an hour and a half to come up with the following site:

http://littlegioia.wikispaces.com/
(if you’re wondering about the name, “Gioia” [pronounced "Joya"] is my dog’s name. It could be changed to something different, but I just couldn’t think of anything when I was creating the site.)

Click on the “Chronological List of workshops” link to see the list so far.

The beauty of using the wiki format is that you can harness the power of the community that you’ve created, and farm out some of the tedious copy & paste work to others! Adding the entry for each workshop is time consuming, but I’m sure there are lots of folks out there who wouldn’t mind pitching in a little at a time to make the list complete.

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind for your archival site… but I’ve long thought that having a list of all your workshops in one place would be a great resource. With your blessing I’d like to continue working on this project, and also seek help from some of the other fine folks who follow your workshops.

cheers,

Tom

Ode to West Palm

Good morning guys -

When I got my time with the S2 and looked through the journal there was, as Logan pointed out, a simple tab for Ode to Joy placed there by Father Keith [actually it was Pastor Roy - Patrick]. I made a copy of it to learn later and just now got around to it. The tab only included the ‘A’ part so I worked out the ‘B’ part myself. Thought you might enjoy it.
