A Warm November

Maybe it has something to do with living on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay, but every once in a while winter puts off coming to Crisfield. The temperatures reach up into the 70′s during the days and nights are perfectly cold – just chilly enough for curling up with a good book and huge mug of tea.

The cold weather will get here eventually, but right now the bees are still buzzing and the crickets are still singing. Warm sunshine, autumn leaves and just wonderful all around.

Here, it snowed for the first time this year today. Hail and rain too. Blech.

I may be wrong but the second (middle)photo appears to me to be a hover fly, not a bee. Some flies mimic bees.

Here, in middle Europe is very windy weather. And temperature? Good for tea with rhum.
