Iowa Frails
November 18, 2009
Mike in Maquoketa is taking over The Daily Frail for a couple of days!
I love that I didn’t even have to ask this time around! It is so great to see people ready and willing to share.
Anyway, today Mike walks us through a D7 lick:

Thank you, Mike! That’s a really evocative sound. And you break it down so well I’ve almost got the hang of it already. It would be cool to hear how you use this in a chord progression.

Thanks for the lick, Mike, and thanks for stepping up to the plate in place of Patrick.

Hey Mike,
Great job on the Daily Frail. I love that lick, it’s just grand. You may have just inspired a song and helped me out of my creative slump. I love that modal kind of sound. Would it be all right with you if I use this lick in a song? Or at least to get the creative juices going? great job, you sound the same as you did at the retreat, great frailing. Have a musical day.
Musically,
Marissa

Thanks, Mike. I’ve been looking for something to do with a D7 chord… now I can add it to the toolbag.
