Hey Pat and Patrick -

Wanted to share this. For Christmas I treated myself to a Shadow
SH2000 transducer for my five string. If anyone is interested in
exploring amplification options I’ve found this one to be a good
choice for the price. It requires no soldering or drilling; it simply
adheres to the instrument so you can experiment to find the sweet spot
that gives you the sound you want. On top of that you can interchange
it to other banjos or acoustic guitars or even fiddles with no fuss.
This model also has tone and volume control knobs, a feature I was
after and had trouble finding in this price range.

I’m playing off of a tiny 10 inch amp in the video, so the sound may
not be superb but the volume is definitely there for live performances
with other electric instruments or noisy pubs.
