I enjoyed the photo gallery, thanks Carlos.

Ever since seeing this photo, I have been trying in earnest to master the clownhammer technique. I have been spraying WD40 out of my clown and onto the strings. Is this the right thing to do, or should I have been spraying olive oil?

I only use olive oil on the mandolin; olive oil on the banjo just doesn’t strike me as very Italian. Is there no sound file of this effort? I guess don’t understand what the clown is doing. Do the filiments (are they filiments?) tickle the strings? One could spray the strings with “Easy Cheese” and pick it off with your teeth; this would give a player with an overbite an advantage and start an endless thread about proper tecnique. I am sure that whatever Carlos is doing is being done in the authentic old time Spanish classical banjo tradition. Es una Broma? No?n Si?
